Timaya laments about the expenses involved in making good music

Timaya laments on inability to find love

Singer Timaya is baring it all with regards to how much it takes to shoot a music video, and why hiring musicians is so expensive.

According to Timaya, it takes about one-hundred million Naira to shoot a music video, and the musician still spends about thirty-million Naira to promote the said song.

He also added that this contributes to the high rate that musicians are charging per show, because they’re trying to make back the money they spent on promotion alone.

While Timaya’s analysis offered a bird’s eye view into the money that goes into making music, the discourse among netizens in the comments seemed to more focused on taunting musicians, with some even going as far as saying that a lot of money is spent, yet there’s hardly any good music.
